✅ Covered Genetic Conditions
This health guarantee covers the following genetic conditions diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian within the guarantee period:
Hip Dysplasia - Diagnosed via OFA/PennHIP radiographs
Elbow Dysplasia - Diagnosed via OFA radiographs
Eye Disorders - Including Cherry Eye, Entropion, and Ectropion (diagnosed by a veterinary ophthalmologist)
Heart Conditions - Including Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM) diagnosed by a veterinary cardiologist
📚 Bloat (GDV) - Education Only: Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus (bloat) is a serious condition common in deep-chested breeds like Cane Corsos. While this condition is not covered under this health guarantee, we provide education on prevention. We strongly recommend researching preventive gastropexy surgery and feeding practices to reduce risk.
📋 Buyer Responsibilities
To keep this health guarantee valid, the buyer MUST comply with the following requirements:
Veterinary Examination: Have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 7 days of receiving the puppy. Written vet report required.
Proper Nutrition: Feed high-quality, large-breed puppy food appropriate for the puppy's age and size. Record food brand/type for reference.
Annual Vet Checkups: Maintain annual veterinary wellness examinations throughout the guarantee period. Provide records if filing a claim.
OFA/PennHIP Documentation: If filing a claim for hip or elbow dysplasia, provide OFA or PennHIP radiographs and certification.
Claim Notification: Notify the breeder in writing within 14 days of any diagnosis of a covered condition. Failure to notify within this timeframe voids the guarantee.
Non-Breeding Requirement (Pet Homes): Puppies sold as pets may NOT be used for breeding. If breeding rights are desired, buyer must:
Inform seller at the time of purchase, OR
Notify seller BEFORE ever breeding the dog
Additional breeding rights fees may apply
⚠️ Exclusions & Limitations
This health guarantee does NOT cover the following conditions or circumstances:
Accidents, Injuries, or Trauma: Any condition caused by accident, injury, poisoning, or trauma
Improper Care or Neglect: Conditions resulting from improper nutrition, lack of veterinary care, or neglect
Environmental Factors: Allergies, skin conditions, parasites, or infections caused by environmental factors
Infectious Diseases: Parvovirus, distemper, kennel cough, or any infectious disease preventable by vaccination (if owner failed to vaccinate)
Normal Wear & Tear: Minor conditions such as umbilical hernias, retained testicles, or undescended testicles (unless medically significant)
Bloat (GDV): As noted above, bloat is not covered but we provide education on prevention
Behavioral Issues: Training issues, aggression, anxiety, or any behavioral concerns
Cosmetic Concerns: Coat color, size, ear set, tail set, or any aesthetic traits
🔄 Remedy Options
If a covered genetic condition is properly diagnosed within the guarantee period, the buyer may choose ONE of the following remedies:

A replacement puppy of equal value from our next available litter. Buyer is responsible for shipping/delivery costs of the replacement puppy. Original puppy must be returned to breeder (at buyer's expense) or placed in an approved home.
💰 Option 2: Full Refund
A full refund of the original purchase price. Buyer must return the puppy to the breeder within 30 days of diagnosis. Shipping/delivery costs for returning the puppy are the buyer's responsibility.

Veterinary expenses are NOT reimbursed under this guarantee
Buyer must provide all required documentation before a remedy is approved
Remedy must be selected within 30 days of breeder receiving diagnosis documentation
🐕 Breeding Rights Addendum
Important: Puppies sold as pets are strictly for companionship and may NOT be used for breeding without explicit written permission from the breeder.
If you wish to retain breeding rights:
You must inform us at the time of purchase or before ever breeding the dog
Additional breeding rights fees may apply
Breeding rights will be documented in a separate addendum to this contract
Failure to disclose breeding intentions may result in voiding of health guarantee and legal action

📝 How to File a Claim
To file a claim under this Health Guarantee, follow these steps:
Take your puppy to a licensed veterinarian for diagnosis
Obtain written documentation including diagnosis, test results, and treatment plan
Notify us within 14 days of diagnosis via email or phone
Submit all veterinary records, radiographs, and test results to us for review
We will review the claim and respond within 14 business days
If approved, select your remedy option (replacement puppy or full refund)
Complete any required paperwork and return original puppy (if applicable)
We are committed to raising healthy, well-socialized puppies. Our responsibilities include:
Health Screening: All breeding dogs undergo OFA or PennHIP certification for hips/elbows
Vaccinations: Puppies receive age-appropriate vaccinations before leaving our care
Deworming: Puppies are dewormed on a regular schedule
Veterinary Check: Each puppy receives a wellness exam by our veterinarian before going to their new home
Socialization: Puppies are raised in our home with children and other pets
Health Records: Complete health records, including vaccination and deworming history, are provided with each puppy
Lifetime Support: We are available for questions and support throughout your puppy's life
💰 Deposit Policy
Deposit Amount: $400 to reserve your puppy Deposit Policy:Non-refundable but transferable to another available puppy
If circumstances change and you cannot take the puppy you reserved, your deposit can be transferred to another available puppy from our litters. Deposits will not be refunded for change of mind or buyer's circumstances.
Deposits are fully refundable only if we cannot provide a healthy puppy as described in this agreement.

Q: When does the 1-year guarantee period start?
A: The guarantee period begins on the date of purchase (the date you take possession of the puppy).
Q: Do I have to take my puppy to a specific vet for diagnosis?
A: You may use any licensed veterinarian. For hip/elbow claims, OFA or PennHIP certified radiographs are required.
Q: What if I can't see a vet within 7 days?
A: If circumstances prevent a 7-day vet visit, contact us immediately. Extensions may be granted on a case-by-case basis.
Q: Can I transfer this guarantee to a new owner if I rehome my puppy?
A: This guarantee is for the original purchaser only and is non-transferable unless approved in writing by the breeder.
Q: What happens if my puppy has a covered condition after the 1-year period?
A: This guarantee only covers conditions diagnosed within 12 months of purchase. We still offer support and guidance beyond this period.
